On Tuesday, Apple issued a massive security update for Mac OS X. In all, 67 vulnerabilities were patched. Of these, 26 could be used to execute arbitrary code. That means they could be used to hijack a machine. To get the patches for Leopard or Tiger, run the Mac OS X update service. Leopard users won’t see the security patches. That’s because they’ve been rolled into the Mac OS X 10.5.7 update. The patches can also be downloaded from Apple’s site.
Apple has also updated patches for Safari for Windows. If you’re using the browser, download the patches on Apple’s site.
